hey i just won fourth place in the Conseco Fishing challenge at operation Bass. Looks like I won this:

<<Fourth Prize: a 1:64 die-cast replica of the Team Conseco NASCAR hauler and No. 14 Conseco Pontiac autographed by A.J. Foyt; a Conseco NASCAR hat; and a one-year FLW Outdoors membership. ARV $138.>>

I'm not much into racing so I'm sure one of you guys can make better use of this, looking to trade for something interesting...Let's make some fun out of this. I haven't even received it yet so I don't know what it looks like. I will keep the FLW membership though.....

Bidding starts at: ??

Pierre

I'll raise Scott and go /?}{}{|# for what's behind door number 1

Something happened with my post...there was supposed to be something between the <and> this is what it is...:

The winner will receive a 1:64 die-cast replica of the Team Conseco NASCAR hauler and No. 14 Conseco Pontiac autographed by A.J. Foyt, a Conseco NASCAR hat and a one-year FLW Outdoors membership. Approximate Value $168.00

May I please retract my bid..... I know that he's one very fine driver, but I don't cared for AJ's attitude.....

I think it was about 15 years ago when he made some extremely sexist remarks about Lynn St. James competing in the Indy 500 that I decided that he was not much of a competitor. I see automobile racing, like fishing, as a sport where anyone can be a winner on any given day based not on physical size or strength or hormones - but on desire, spirit, talent and (unfortunately) the dollars available to invest in equipment.

Women like Lynn St. James, Shirley Muldowney, Shawna Robinson AND Penny Berryman have demonstrated that they definately have the desire, spirit and talent! What's more, they have Courage!

me!

Scott,

I know NASCAR about as much as I know desert camel racing. I agree with your above comments though if that's the case. Autographs don't impress me much. Looks like I will have to give this artifact to my little nephew, he can use it as a toy.

To be quite honest I just wanted to see what you crazies would offer...hoped to get something with sparkles from Kneely! Figured even if I got a 1/4 worm weight it would be worth a 1/2 weight in Canada !

Thanks for the info.

Pierre

LOL......I love your sense of humor Pierre,..you're a gem!!...Seeya in June!! (Don't forget the Bradours!!!)

Pierre -

Those are just MY thoughts on AJ - there are plenty of people out there who think he's a Hero! And, I guess he is, if you look at his racing record.....

Try e-bay. I'd bet that you get lots of results!

I feel the same way as you do about autographs. Never had or wanted one - until last year. Penny's sits right next to my monitor!

me!

Pierre,

Ok, I have a 15 year old son that would be thrilled to have it, so tell me what are you looking for in a trade?

Cass :)

Throw in a case of Bradours and some XXX's and I'll give ya all the sparkly worm weights your heart desires!!!

"'dem bassus luv sparkles" (c)

Pierre,

Make sure to e-mail me your cell # before heading down on Saturday. That way we can touch base. Weather looks optimal! Sunny, light breeze and high 60's. My raingear is still in the boat, so no spiking waves OK!
