I have a 2003 TV18. Replaced the Rule pump as the water was comming out slowly and would sometimes stop. The areator is a straight thru nozzle. Should the output slot be pointed down as mine is sideways. Any idea as to what is going on?

by output slot do you mean the threaded end that is covered by a screen? i would think as long as its underwater at all times it should be fine.
