I can just picture the boys sitting by the fire with long-stemmed cigarettes sipping champagne from sparkling glasses. As they wait their turn for Alex's masterful hands to massage their supple bodies, they watch primitive hunting films on the big screen tv. There are no guns, fishing rods or live game for miles....caviar anyone ?

During this time, their wives fight it out in the local supermarket to get their hands on the best cut beef. Then, hanging low in camoflage attire, making their way home from the public venues, just in case they are the targeted....

This folks, is the world we now live in.

Hey Pierre,

Sounds like you wanna join us!!! Drive on down, buddy, you're more than welcome!!!

Someday next year/season...I'll try to wrangle an invite to drive up from Chicago...maybe I could "buy" my way in with walleye fillets...or some such other "fare"... And, I'm purported to be an excellent chef... So, I'd be glad to "shake and bake" some of the meals... I have references...

Sounds like way too much fun....

I'll try again...

From this last weekend until my first grandchild is born (sometime in the next 10-14 days) I'm not straying more than an hour or so away... I opted out of several scheduled events... And may miss a Walleye tourney or two... But, it is very exciting and important to me to be around... My first opportunity to (begin to) "get even" with one of my kids!!!! I wasn't sure I was "age appropriate" for the title...But, as it is getting closer to the day...I no longer consider the temporal implications...only the emotional and I am pretty fired up about this!

Anyway, thanks...but for this year at least until December...And, then I might be up for something... Can one acquire a Mich Non-resident Archery permit easily on short notice? And, would that be feasible as an "excuse"... I'm not so sure there has to acvtuially be a "real" opportunity to get a deer... I might be terminal from Cabin Fever by Dec...

In the meant time... Keep me and mine in your thoughts... All is well but there is always that nagging little worry at the back of your mind...

Hey Greg, Congrats on the new addition. We'll be thinking of you and everyone else who can't make it. Make sure take that kid perch fishing. He / she should be ready by spring )
