It's applied in sections,....probably 4-5ft wide.....they overlap about 1/4"....The wrap can stay on or come off..depending on who buys the boat. It's a fairly thick vinyl material that is tougher than boat lettering, but it can be damaged if it's rubbed against something nasty,...a stick won't do anything to it,...but a metal dock pole or pipe may! Actually, it helps protect the 'glass underneath.
The boat color underneath can be anything I want it to be,..
So If I get a "pre-buyer" who wants a specific color or stripe pattern I'll order whatever they want and then the S&T wrap will be applied over that. I'll use the boat for a season and have the wrap removed so they get the boat they want. If somebody wants the S&T wrap left on, then I'll probably order a basic no-frills color/stripe combo and keep the cost as low as possible.....then the wrap will be applied over that, and they'll get the boat with the wrap still on it at the end of the season. It's the "buyers" choice,....if I don't get a buyer lined up in advance,..then they'll get what I order!!..LOL I keep'em simple anyway,......very few add options....just to keep the price as low as possible and easier to sell as a "used boat",..guys that "load-em to the gills" get burned every time! Been there,.....had it happen,.....never again!!
My current 520 is loaded but I order the "Comanche" pkg which is "loaded" and I got such a good deal that I can sell it for a "good deal!!" I just like to turn'em over and walk away from them,....I'm not in this to make money on a used boat,..I just want a new boat every year and the only way to do that is sell'em for what you will owe when the memo comes due.....that's a HUGE savings over retail and as you know,..my boats get very little use...my Ranger has 45-48hrs on it and 80% of that is idling and no wake hours!!...My current boat is the deal of the century for someone who wants a 520 at darn near 10G's off retail!!!
