ok folks, now that i am more confused than ever about my steering problem, what about jack plate placement on my 882. i ask this question due to the fact that it seems like half of my engine is underwater when coming out of the hole.this can't be good for my motor.also if i'm going to be fishing where there are alot of stumps(ie.lake fork) shouldn't it be mounted as high as possible?
