2009 Nitro 189 Sport - Trolling Motor Compatibility

I'm looking to replace the stock Motorguide trolling motor on my parents fish and ski (2009 Nitro 189) with a Minn Kota Powerdrive with i-Pilot. My concern is the mounting bracket...the current MG setup has the metal plate with the "two hockey puck" style mount. Not sure how to go about making this compatible with the MK, or if its even possible....has anyone else faced a similar issue?

I replaced my trolling motor with a larger motor and added another battery for 24v.
I cannot believe the difference, bracket was the same size as I went to another motor guide. Wish I would have started with this motor and also started with a 150 merc instead of the 115

I have a 2001 Sport and upgraded to the Terrova. I had a special bracket made for the mount and mounted it right over the two hockey puck mounts. I drilled holes in the new plate and used the same screws. I also added a quick release mount. I'll try and post a picture later today.
