Guys,
I am getting closer to seriously looking at upgrading from a Mercury XR6 150 to a 200 or 225hp. The family is getting bigger and that XR6 is starting to feel a little underpowered especially when we are tubing. Put on a Mercury High-Five 19p and jack plate a few years ago which took some lug off the motor. I may reinstall the hydrofoil to see how that plays again.
I'd sell the 150 when the time comes but trying to determine if this effort is worth the cost presuming the 200/225 will not just 'bolt on'. Looking for any expertise on what this may entail.
