2005 Nitro 189 Sport Fish Finder Mounting Question

Hi all,

Just purchased the boat in the subject over the weekend and it does not have any sort of fish finder. It looking like i'll have to use a Ram style mount on the dash to mount a unit, was wondering if anyone had a pictures of their setups that i could look at.

Not looking to go with a large screen, at the largest a 5" screen. Also looking for any pointers on running the cables, looks like it might be a challenge to snake them through the transom where the steering cables go.

I have one mounted above the key on my 2005 188 Sport and I have seen them mounted out in front of the windscreen on the Starboard side.

The wiring is quite easy if you remove the starboard rod box door and mounting. I just replaced the Optimax on the boat and ran a new control system not too difficult.

Thanks for the pics, looks like mine might be easier then the 188, i don't have rod box doors there, its just open.
