2003 NX750

Hi Folks! Just purchased a 2003 NX 750. Would appreciate any suggestions for accessories.Who makes a good cover for this boat? Is a prop guard a good idea? Thinking about putting one of those new color Lowrance GPS/ Fishfinder units in at the console and moving the XP 2000 to the bow. Any ideas?

Welcome to the site and congratulations on the new boat. The Lowrance unit is an awsome unit and you'd really enjoy it. Besides would look great mounted on the front of your new boat.

welcome and congratulations! you will really enjoy the nx750 a lot. i haven't done a lot as far as accessories to mine except that i added an on board charger and replaced the finder at the console. I would suggest using the RAM mounts for each fish finder location. i've been real happy with the mounts. i don't have a good source for the covers of the boats, but BPS is having spring classic sales and there might be a good opportunity to find one on sale. Rod storage system for the rod lockers will be an upcoming project for me. Also, a spotlight is good to have when you get caught navigating and loading in evening or night fishing.

Put what ever you think will make your fishin more pleasurable and comfortable in now ,also go with the max horse power cause it will be alot of trouble to up grade later.always better to be over powered than under powered when you need it,also look at upgrade trolling motor always a good investment when looking to sell when you want a larger boat and beleive me you will want a larger boat in time,never big enough never fast enough he he he

Welcome and congrats on the boat. Only thing I added was a trolling motor strap which secures it while trailering or running rough water and a front mount fishfinder.

I'm not sure exactly what the XP-2000 can do yet as far as reading temp. I just ordered the boat last week.I don't even know if it can be moved to bow like I want to.It's made exclusively for Nitro by Humminbird and their website has nothing on it.

Bassyankee,the xp2000 is the same as the Piranha 2 and does come with temp,remember these are bare bones units so dont expect too much.Yes it can be mounted to the bow if you plan to upgrade at console.From what Ive heard cant go wrong with Garmin 240 for the money.

I have a 2002 nx750 dc with 125merc.



You are gonna love this boat the only accessories I have put on ..upgradded tm to pinpoint 3700, added the gps unit and a 7450 on the bow, 7420 at console, puck transducer, and transom mounted (currently waiting to test that one, I managed to mount it off the motor mount, NO HOLES drilled) transducer. The only thing I think you should do is make a rod storage system as the rod tips in current configuration tend to get caught in the wire harness. I bought golf club tubes and inserted them in a wood template to hold them. Worked out okay...

Congrats on the new boat. Go with the factory cover. It's fitted to the boat so you can't go wrong there. Get the garman the xp2000 is jung my 2cent on the HB. Break it in right fill the livewell with fish. Ken
