I've got a 2000 Targa 18'allweld. Looking for anyone that has personally replaced the Motor Guide trolling motor with a 60" Minnkota 65AP. Any problems? Enough room? Would I be asking too much if any existing holes matchup?
As a new member here, don't want to constantly be seeking advice/answers. Thought I'd throw out a few improvements that I've added to my rig.
That blasted fuse holder prior to the trolling battery had to go. For the life of me, I couldn't get the dang fuse out. Ended up breaking the fuse. Replaced with a resettable circuit breaker (40amp).
Bought a cheap bathroom towel hook and mounted it beside the drivers seat where I hang my spotlight. You guys who use these high candlepower lights know how hot the face of them get. Buddy of mine learned the hard way, now has a round burn mark on his carpet.
Alright, now let's here from those AP owners.
Thanks
Rick
