Thank you for all your input on the boat and engine ,I checked the vin plate and it says it is a 1999 motor if that makes a difference.

I'm new to the bigger boats and motors but from what i've seen and heard here and at the last tournament i went to i have picked a great sport to get into,i love it so far.

thanks for the advice again.

If you think the boats Tracker sells in Canada are big.....

.....You should see the ones they sell in Texas! Eh!

You got yourself one, fine ride! Keep comin' around and share your fishing experiences from North of the border with us! We'd appreciate it!

me!

I will, we have lots of great lakes and great fish EH!

I purchased the 700LX with a 125 Merc this year. Excellent combo. Boat is surperb for a 17'. Motor takes a bit to get used to. This 2 + 2 stuff is junk. It would be a far better motor if it ran on all 4 cylinders all the time. Someone else mentioned trim, I have a fair bit of experience driving boats, both i/o and outboard and have never seen a boat so sensitive to trim levels. Once you get used to it it works great. I live in the Toronto area and fishing is great within 45 mins. Goin' north next week for some walleye. Season is just starting to turn on.
