Hello,

I'm looking to buy a 1986 17' Bass Tracker TX. The boat looks to be in good shape. Can anyone tell me what I should be looking at to make sure this is a good boat. Here are some details about the boat.

18lbs trolling motor.

1 fishfinder

price $1800.00

Is that a good price???

Older Trackers were riveted so I would try to take it out on a lake to test drive and make sure there is no water coming in anywhere. With an older boat like that, most of the value is in the engine. If the engine runs great it sounds like an alright deal. I would try to bring the boat to a dealer and have a mechanic give it a once over. You definitely dont' want to be stuck with a troubled engine.

I would imagine you might have to upgrade that trolling motor, I think 18lbs would have hard time pulling an inner-tube...
