185 Sport jackplate or no

I have a 185 Sport with a merc 150 efi hanging on the back. Would it be worth installing a 6” jackplate on it? Would I see any gains from the install? If so would a hydraulic plate be beneficial over a manual?

I have an Atlas hydraulic on my 24, 19. Just moving the motor away from the transom will help performance. Additionally, being able to adjust the height will also. It's a bit more work but for the $$$ I would go with the manual and just set it and forget it.
