160 TF

Looking at a 160 TF and wondering how they perform? It has 60HP Evinrude. Can it handle a bigger engine? Buying from a friend of mine really cheap, and it will be my first Bass Boat. I'm looking for a boat me and the Grandsons and Scouts can use.What do you guys think?

Eric, I love the one I have! It a 1995 model, in great shape. It will be o.k., with the 60. They are rated for max. 90 hp. That is what I have. Take my 2 Grandchildren along all the time. Grandson is 11, grandaughter is 7. Good luck, i believe you will enjoy it.

I have a 95 nitro160 rick clune edition with 60 hp. merc will run 30 mph [gps] . ithink you will love it.

had mine since 96 was under powered with the 50 hp tracker

(force)hard to get outof the hole.kept the boat inside lookks like new and just repowered with 2009 90hp e-tec ,waiting for the ice to melt so can get her set up right.

Livewell little small but like the boat well enough to put new power to her.
