Well I had to take my NX750 back again for the same problem. It wont hold RPM 3500-WOT. The first time they found debris in the lower carbs. Its most likley the same problem because I ran the boat when I got it back from them for 1/2 hour before the problem started again. They are going to put a water separator in this time and hopefully check everything I asked them to check before. Im very happy with the boat, It just pisses me off that I have to take a brand new boat back for engine trouble.

Sounds like it could be a bad module...at least my 90 went back twice until they figured it out:(

mark, feel free to contact me at 904-230-1041, I can go over what resolved my issue.

1- Replaced all hoses from gas cap to motor

2- Removed and drained and cleaned gas tank

3- Replaced plugs

4- Replaced part on fuel pump, not sure what part was broke but they had to order a part from Mercury

5- Cleaned all carbs.

6- Installed Fuel / Water seperator.

Hope this helps.

After they performed all of the above the motor has ran great, no problems in about 6 months.

Also make sure on your gas cap that the 2 screws are not tightened down all the way, this will cause the motor to bog down, this is the vent for the gas tank. You want a little play in the cap when screwed on.

Thanks for the replys,

I am going to bring the list (Brian provided)by Bass Pro today to ensure they do the right thing. I appreciate all of your comments and will let you know the outcome.

Mark,

The work was done at OutHouse Marine in Jacksonville, Florida, They were at the time owned by Tracker Marine.

BTW,

Besides a part on the fuel pump being broke, they found allot of garbage in the gas tank ( plastic curly ques ) from when the tank was installed. And to be sure that nothing was in the lines or carbs they replaced everything. Good Luck.

Yoyr problem sounds similar to mine. After several trips to the dealer I caaled Mercury and they admitted to carb problems. They sent 3 new carbs and all the fuel lines. My motor is a 90 but the carbs seemed to have fixed it.
