Needing to do ANYTHING fishing related, I've decided to change the hooks on my cranks, jerks, and topwaters. Any suggestions on type, size, don't do it, etc... Thanks guys.

Put on barbless so that when you hook yourself they'll pull out easily!

Try some Gamakatsu treble hooks. Incredibly sharp. Some prefer the round bend while others the EWG. Replace with same size or one size larger.

I am in the process of doing the same thing right now...

I am going with the Mustad Triple Grips myself. Size 4 for the majority of cranks (bandits, normans, etc), size 6 for the smaller ones (DTN, etc). Some prefer the short shank models, (bandits come standard with #4 shorts) but I like the longer ones a bit better.

I am also switching out to the "oval" split rings at the line pull.

Really lets you know just how many crankbaits you have.

Hard to beat Gamakatsu EWG Later<>< <>< <>< <>< Jack
