Will silicone spray dissolve or damage paint?

Dumb question, but will silicone spray lubricant discolor or damage painted metal surfaces? I've never used the stuff and don't want to have it eat through the finish on my boat. Thanks.

It won't damage a thing,...more than likely it'll help to protect it!! Spray away!!

If you spraying on your runners, to much and you will not be able to keep the boat on the trailer after driving up.

I spray my runners the first time out in the spring.
