I have a year 2000 Targa 2000 which is a 20ft fiberglass boat. It has a "setback" where the motor mounts. It has a 200hp merc on it. I noticed the other day that by one of the corners, in the back, on the top, it has a couple little cracks. The cracks are not on the setback, they are further on where the splash trough meets the gunwhale. I don't know how long they have been there. Is this something serious? How do I check it out? How do I know if they are just "surface cracks"? Thanks for any and all responses!!!

Usually... if you run your fingernail over the crack and can't ...or barely feel it, then it is cosmetic. A lot of boats get stress cracks in the gel. If it is not on the transom then I wouldn't sweat it. If you can post a picture that would help.
