Well, met with the marine surveyor that the insurance co. sent and not good at all.Wont be covered because of a failed transom (wood bad) not damanged caused when i hit log. $4000.00 to repair. A 95 nitro that i paid $4,200 for just doesn't seem worth that. Not sure what im gonna do with it??? Maybe part it out. What do you all think?

I would really consider pulling the motor off, if its worth it, hold onto it and shop around for a hull that the motor would work well with. Donate the boat, take the tax deduction and move on.

But, wow, that still sucks !

Hate to hear that but, insurance companies suck when it comes to THAT kind of coverage.

Word to the wise...if you hit a submerged object that causes hull damgage and theirs no real visible "impact" damgage...you better get a hammer and finsih it off.

Been there and didn't like it:(

Better to leave the hammer a home and use a wet log ....:wacko::lol: ... more realistic damage.
