Tohatsu outboard

does anybody have any info for Tohatsu outboards.

a co-worker came to me today looking to purchase a 3.5 hp for his small v hull.

tohatsu is the oldest outboard manufacturer in the world. I have had one for years and love it. I belive they make the suzuki or nissan motors. but someone else will chime in and know for sure.

He can go to their website at tohatsu.com and choose north america. I own a 2003 tohatsu TLDI 90hp on my 17ft deep v tournament tracker. Sweet motor dude. I work it to death and it runs like a top. Best investment I ever made.

I have a 3.5b great motor they build that motor for mercury and Nissan. I would recommend the B model because N->F transmission the other model does not have that option. The only bad thing I can say about the motor is that something the bolts that hold the cover get tough to take out. I swap mine out for a pair of stainless steel bolts no issues since. 3 years No other issues gone get the water impeller replaced this year, make sure he has a dealer near him..
