The whole things just feels weird, like an out of body-politic experience.

I don't know that there is a right answer, but I feel like we're driving around in reverse. Has the world now said that its ok to use chemical weapons on your own people as long as everyone else is too broke and war-weary to care? Did John Kerry trip and fall out of the boat, or was that some sort of Machiavellian stroke of brilliance?

Growing up in the cold war era, black and white seemed so much more stark than they do today.

But are we the world police? I thought the UN did that. If you want to talk about genocide look at the slaughter that goes on everyday in Central Africa. Hundreds of thousands many of them children, are slaughtered. Limbs chopped off, beheaded starved. Close to a million overall but no one knows for sure. Does the U.S. have military strikes pending? I don't think so. It makes nerve gas in Syria seem like nothing when you compare the numbers. As tragic as both circumstances are my point is I don't feel it's our job to step into every horrible situation and risk American lives.
If we bomb Syria what does that make Benghazi? American lives were lost there. The time for striking has past anyway, chickens fled the coop. Anyone ask where Syria got the nerve gas? mmmmmh who lives next door. Iraq. What was in all those convoys heading into Syria at the beginning of the second gulf war? Maybe George Bush was right the Iraqi's had WMD's. Our Allies are saying to let the Muslim nations sort it out, here here!

To me its open and shut. Let terrorists kill terrorists. In my opinion, all Muslims are terrorists or wanna be terrorists. So step back and let them whack each other till there's none left, or what's left we can then deal with it. We've wasted a LOT of resources in those countries for NOTHING. We haven't accomplished a thing especially now that a socialist commie mussie is in charge of the military. Yep, I vented and now you know how I FEEL about it :mad:
 
Fatrap, Charles, you are both right! I would like to add that this is only to take attention from obamacare and Benghazi! What a POS the uninformed voters elected.

It's funny how the same folks who were bashing Bush over his call at WMDs are the same ones who are now saying we need to do something. It was proven that SH used ChemWeps against his own folks, and we couldn't find any?? Think we'd find some now?? I don't think we should lose another American child/father/mother/brother/sister, etc. because some dip **** in DC thinks we need to "do the right thing". Has it occurred to anyone else that all of these "revolutions" we have supported (doing the right thing) in the last few years have ultimately resulted in an extremeist Muslim regime taking control? Coincidence?
 
I mean I don't have any regrets doing 2 tours in Vietnam even though its left me 100% disabled and if I could, I would in a heartbeat take somebody else's place on the line. I'm really proud of most telling our new generation of military troops thanking them for their service. Sometimes when I go to lunch and I see a group of 3 - 4 at a table, I'll tell the waitress to bring me the ticket - I got it. Why you ask?? Because NOBODY did it for me or give me the time of day. I never EVER forgot after my 2nd tour I came home at 3am at Seattle airport and who's there to greet me? 300 commie loving bastards who spit on us and we were NOT allowed to strike back. I know I would have been court martialed and I wanted to do 20 years (it was my 2 yr in). I've worked for one government agency or another for over 30 years. Guess that's why I'm so cynical about it because I've seen the coverup's and know what our agencies are capable of.

But I will say this. Although the dept of homeland security does have me listed as a potential home grown terrorist (wonder why LOL) I don't back off. ASK the dept of census of my runs in with them (or should I say their run ins with the business end of what I was holding). When I TELL people its NONE of their damn business who's in my house or how much I make - make NOTE of the NO TREPASSING signs on my property - their supervisor in DC wrote me a letter condemning me pulling my handgun on his "agent". I wrote back and ask did his "agent" tell you he approached my wife at 7pm in the dark outside our house - trespassing. ANYBODY can make up government credentials and its given away freely in crackerjack boxes as a game piece and I certainly don't allow ACORN bastards on my property and IF he wanted to bring his butt down to explain it all to me, he better have his burial insurance paid in full AND bring a deputy with a search warrant - the deputy would be allowed on the property - but he WOULD NOT. That's the LAST time I had any dealings with the Census Bureau and haven't been bothered since ;) I also believed that "agent" also didn't tell him his pissed all over himself when I had the barrel in his mouth giving him 10 seconds to vacate. Hell you don't know WHO these jokers are when they approach you in darkness. Since then I did add flood lights to the front of the house. I'll soon add video and DVDR capabilities too with sound. After all, I need protection for my weapons and ammo :D

So you'll laugh at this - when I worked for the city, I made a change to my W2 citing 4,526 dependents. The next day the CFO angerily charged into my office asking if I thought it was funny. I said hell no I don't think its funny that I'm supporting now 4,761 illegals aka new democrat voters with my tax dollars and funding a study about whores in Africa, I need to change my W2 to reflect the new change. He (oh and he's my boss's boss) he angerily said I have to submit this - I said no problem, when they come to ask about it, I'll happy explain it to them and give them the updated W2. Wouldn't you know it, as he was planning on having me fired, he got fired for wanting to play footsies with his new secretary who didn't appreciate his advances. :rolleyes::D:cool: AND I was the one who got to analyze his computer for damning evidence (which I was happy to provide). :)

So yeah, I have a pretty dim view of our supposely "representatives of the people for the people" BS. They are in it for THEMSELVES. Don't believe me, start investigating your OWN local government on how they REALLY operate. I want the IRS abolished along with 76% of the civilian federal government and get rid of homeland security - its a JOKE.

Ok, I gotta get off this - it only makes me mad that now they want to PENALIZE you for NOT buying into this Obamacare BS. But call their bluff. Sit in jail and refuse to pay the fine for NOT buying commie insurance. Free bed, 3 meals a day and you get to watch gays fight in the cell across from you for entertainment (b*tch slap snap) :p

I would certainly stand in line for anyone. I missed Vietnam, so maybe I still have a debt to pay. If you think about it, those same "kids" who were spitting on you in Seattle are some of the same ones who are sh!tting on us from DC now. Just sayin'. a buddy and I were discussing the merits of "calling their bluff" as you mentioned. We decided with my luck, they'd give me probation and community service.:oops::oops:
 
My opinion is start NEW with the OLD rules the founding fathers wanted. If they are offended, go back to mother Russia, Africa or wherever they think life is better. I no longer have to worry about losing my job over some remark I made that means NOTHING to 97% of the populace. Also make all new "lawmakers" aka law breakers start with NO benefits other than base pay. If they want help,they pay for it out of THEIR pocket, not mine. Maybe then they'll read the stuff put before them and actually known what's in it. Oh and when passing some law, there's no ADDON rider bills that get snuck in under the carpet to bite us in the arse later. Pay raises - that'll have to be approved by 75% of the general public during the next election cycle. Benefits - sure - just sign up for obamacare your previous law breakers voted for a*swipes.
 
I was in the Navy and still got the treatment at the airport. One time in Chicago some dickhead laid a lugie on my dress blues. (We weren't' allowed to fly in civilian clothes if you weren't E4) I DID lay the hippy #@ck out right in the concourse. I was with a Marine and a couple Army soldiers. Their on comment was "not bad for a swabbie." We just slowly walked off and found the USO.
My wife and I went to Great Lakes Naval Training Center for my son's graduation. First thing after he checked out was we went to a Quick Shop and got him a Mountain Dew. Five blocks from the front gate. The guy at the counter told my son. "Thanks for your service" Boy have times changed.
Get rid of career politicians who never served a day and think nothing of putting our sons and daughter in harms way.

I still cant believe that an arguably "educated" lawmaker stood up in front of news cameras and said "We have to pass it to see what's in it". Are you serious???????o_O Call me stupid if you want, but in the last election, if I recognized their name, I didn't vote for them.:( The point was, i'm tired of supporting *career* politicians who make no contribution to mine or my country's security. I also wrote letters to my two senators during the gun debate this past winter and told them that I would not only not vote for their re-election, but actively support a campaign against them if they aligned themselves with the administration on oppressive gun control.

Tell me, exactly, how does the fact that Syria has ChemWeps now suddenly become a eminent threat to the USA's national security? They've had them for years! The CIC (message me if you want my definition) opened his arrogant mouth and issued an ultimatum he couldn't possibly enforce and it bit him on the arse. Then he tried to pass the buck with the same results. "What I meant to say was...........":rolleyes: BTW, wasn't that the exact same thing for which he went around the world apologizing during his initial term; you know, "America is a big bully, blah, blah, blah"?
 
ummmm huummm sure was, even bending over to show them where to screw him (and they did - dumbazzz) Oh and CIC isn't hard, in fact I'd say it to HIS face COMMIE IN CHIEF, or CROOK IN CHARGE (actually both), but I like SOBNCIC aka SOB Nazi - fill in the rest. After all, he read Mein Kampf and he's following the same path to preceived glory. That's where we really need former military running for prez. Funny thing was, had General Powell ran for election I would have voted for him UNTIL he showed his true colors. But I would have preferred Schwarzkopf. He was prefect, but he didn't want none of that rat race junk.
 
Actually, I was thinking more along the lines of "Chump-in-Chief" because that's what I think of him; he's a chump, and his admin. is a joke. Too bad the joke is on us! However, I have confidence in America that we will realize what direction in which we are headed, and bring our country back to the world leader we once were. Eventually we will say, "Enough is enough: I can't stands no more!" Popeye!:D
