retractable safety cables too short

I just purchased a new 175TXW and the retractable safety cables too short. I ordered the trailer with the brake upgrade and now the cables are too short for my hitch. Does anyone have any ideas about what the best solution to the problem is?

I had the same problem. I was able to find some extenders for my hitch from the parts house. they were about 6 inches long and they worked perfect. Check with some of the sporting stores in your area.

I went to the Tractor Supply store and bought some fittings that look like carabiners but have a thread sleve that locks it around a chain or in my case the holes either side of my reciever.

Cut the cable, add extension cable (get from Lowes), splice (get from Lowes) back together and Bob's your Uncle...
