With all the talk about equipment, I thought that it might be interesting to see which were the most popular Manufacturers of casting and spinning reels with the folks on this board..... Not the stuff you've got shoved away in the corner of the garage for when your brother-in-law shows up with his orange-spike-haired kid..... But the stuff YOU use all the time.....

Mine are:

3 Abu Garcia casting

2 BPS casting

1- an old, old, old, did I say old? Sears spinning reel, circa maybe 1970's? No numbers, letters, left on it that I can see, maybe a "Ted Williams" or something model? I know I got it at Sears, when I was maybe 17, and with care, it still works like a champ, but I must admit I don't use it for much more than fishing for bullheads with the kids sometimes. I have maybe 5 or so more combo's, but like they say, those are brought out for "company" only... good fishin to all, and I enjoy the posts, learning alot......

Sorry, forgot to add, as ya can tell I have a limited budget for rods/reels, so have to make do with what I can, after seeing some of those lists, I'm humbled...... nite all!
