Recirculating pump operation?

Hi,

Looking for a lesson on the recirculating livewell system. There is a livewell pump on the transom, a pump on the livewell and a valve in the bildge area. How exactly does this work in the auto/manual mode and what is operating when? Thanks!

Kind of feel stupid for this post but...I dismantled everything today and did some tracing of lines and think I have it all figured out. Pretty simple once you get at it.

The only question I have is in auto mode, what does it use as the timer? Is it the two red cylinders (some sort of electrical devices) mounted on the rear side of the switch/breaker panel?
