Hi all

Going to be buying a new Rain/wind Set from Bass Pro this winter and was wondering what you all like as far as pants/jacket.

I think for the most part I am set on the 100MPH Gortex jacket

But for Pants, I am reading the reviews and people seem to LOVE the $220 100mph gortex pants and also the $109 gortex pants..

The complaint seems to be with the 100MPH goretex that although its very dry, comfortable, If you have to "relieve yourself" you have to remove the "bib" as the zipper has its on "fabric" behind it.

I have the one step lower gortex than the 100mph pair. Run 70+ etc... all day. the only problem I have with the good stuff is that I sweat so bad it looks like it rained on me some days. I wear tourny frog toggs on the hot days in summer.

Randy!

The BPS Pro Qualifier is just as good as the 100MPH and not as hot in the summer....but the 100MPH is hands down the BEST when it's cold out!! (Early spring and late fall!!)

Let your seasonal Hi's and Low's be your guide,...either way you can't go wrong with either the 100MPH or the PQ! (You could always got the 100MPH jacket and the PQ Bib's..you'll get the zipper on the bib's and the warmth of the 100MPH jacket!;)

Love my 100mph set, but for summer it is too heavy, I also wear frogg toggs in summer. The complaint about the bibs and releiving yourself is definitely a true problem. Other than that they are spendy but worth every penny when you need them.

I wouldn't buy anything but the 100mph suit.Bibs not the pants.

I bought a set of Gill rainware well over 10 years ago (I actually believe it was 1995 when I got them). I still wear the same bibs / jacket to this date. Excellent set of rain/wind gear. I went to a place that sold sailing equipment and told them that I wanted to buy what the sailboat racing team guys wore (figured if they were on deck in all that spray and wind and liked their clothing - it would be good enough for me). I was right. Looking at it this year, the only worn areas are around the cuffs - but it is still 100% functioning as per it's purpose. Highly recommended.

All the best,

Glenn

love my 100 mile hour jacket and bibs, warmest driest fishing you ever do

Mac hit the ball out of the park with his post. The 100MPH jacket and the Pro Qualifier bibs are a dry, cozy cool weather combination that will let you relieve yourself without getting half-way undressed. I still don't see the logic behind that monster flap and no zipper in the 100MPH bibs.

I saved a little and bought the Pro Qualifier bids and the 100MPH jacket. Have not been wet so far and I've been in some nasty stuff.

For the cold & wet (when not hot), I like the Cabella's Guidewear. It's great. Haven't used any of the BPS stuff, so can't comment.
