Need Help Setting Up A 96 896 Savage

I am looking for anyone that can post setups with speeds that worked on there 896 savage. I have been trying to get the prop to pad height dialed in but seems like I can not get the speeds that others are getting. Thanks in advance

I had a 1996 884 Savage which is the 18' 4" version of the 896 which is 19'6" same hull just longer. The boat ran 62 MPH . So what do you have for a prop, jack plate or transom height or bolt hole mount. 150 or 200 Merc. carb. or e.f.i. ? What is the max rpm now with what you have?

I have a worked tempest plus prop. The best prop to pad height I have found so far is 3 1/4 - 3 1/2. I have a 6 in jackplate and its a rebuilt 200 efi with less than 40 hours on it. Tournament loaded with 2 people full of gas I get 66 - 67 mph. It lifts really good with just me in it, but it seems like it could use a little more lift with 2 people. Would like to get 69+ if possible.

I would try a Fury prop it did 2 MPH on my NX 898 225 opi with no other changes
