Well, in the world of the economy and trying to sell a home in a depressed market - my chore goes back several steps. Just got notified that the buyer (older lady - retired) backed out of our deal. Reason: taking too long.
On a brighter note, there has still been activity, and at least one couple that supposedly really wanted it, but as there was a valid contract on the home, couldn't buy it. My realtor is going back and calling all of the agents that have shown the home recently, to let them know the situation.
A complicating factor is that once all of the paperwork goes to the mortgage company, trying to get 'status' is a monumental feat. Everything disappears into a black hole.
