I am looking for a midsection to a 3.0L Merc. Apparently my steering bushings werent the only thing(s) needed to be replaced on my 225EFI.....As it stands right now its a $3500 repair bill unless I can find some cheaper parts.

Email me if you know of a 3.0L midsection that is in good shape. (the 3.0 opti mid will fit a 3.0 EFI)

Thanks!!!

ouch....

what happened to the midsection that it needs replacement?

loose steering bushings = cracked motor mount cradles in the exhaust plate ($1k new) and tore up splines in the pivot pin ($800 new) and lower yoke ($100 new).

Hey Mini,

Is this a common type problem for that motor or just unlucky? What year model is it?
