So I got my new kicker, now to install. It's tiller so no directional hookup, going to use my Terova w/ iPilot for directional nav. My questions concern the electrical & fuel connections. I've read many posts on this on other boards & wanted to hear from all of you too. BTW 2015 Tracker Targa 18 Combo w/150hp main.

Fuel Connection: Local dealer suggests a 3-way valve, others & myself mention using a water/fuel separator only for fuel distribution. I've read & have been told of an issue with fuel starving main & kicker when underway if directly plumbed, others say no issue. Check valves? Second pickup at tank?

Electrical: Connect kicker cables direct to starting battery or install new battery exclusively for kicker? I would never plan on running both motors at once, but as someone else said........Brain Farts Happen! The kicker only has a 6amp alternator I believe. All my electronics, live wells, run off main battery.

After all that, what would you do? What would you do different? Experience with either setup?
