Hummingbird 570 problems

i purchased a new 570 hummingbird fish finder. the last 2 times i used it. after an hour of being used. the screen goes blank and i get 2 solid blue lines going down the screen. i tried to turn it off and it acts like it froze up. i take the fish finder off and i get the same thing again. i dont know why it does that.

any help would be greatly appreciated

Does it do this only after a fast run or only during times when the boat is taking a pounding or is this happen even when on smooth water?



If during rough water only than try looking at the electrical wiring to be sure that there is not a loose connection (I prefer soldering all electrical connections) especially at the fuse holder.



If it happens during smooth water than I would first try testing your 570 unit on someone else

greg, it only does on the river here with little current. i will try it on another boat and see what happens. thanks
