I have a 2000 Nitro NX 882. The seats are in pretty bad shape and I want to have them recovered. Unfortunately I cannot see how to get the middle seat out. The bottom part of the middle seat has a bolt on each side, both of which are accessible from the storage areas below the driver seat and passenger seat. I assume there are bolts holding in the top part of the middle seat, but there does not seem to be any way to get to those bolts. The live well is directly behind that seat and the live well seems to be permanent and not removable. If anyone has any tips on how to get that middle seat out, it would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 2005 882 and have removed the center seat to make it easier to get to the aft section.Go into the storage area beneath the seats and reach up behind the bulkhead and you will find two nuts remove the nuts and the back portion of the seat will pull out. It is not the easiest thing to reach but you can do it. I filled the two holes with plastic plugs from Lowe's and put a adhesive non slip piece on the bottom and now have a nice step to get to the rear rather than always stepping on the seats.

Thanks for your reply. I will try getting in their the way you suggested. I would like to make the center seat area a step as you have done.
