Hey guys, Easy question

What do you recommend, a top load hotfoot or side.

They both function the same so its not a one is better then the other situation. It really depends on where you want to run the cable.

FWIW i have a side cable on on my Z7 and had one on me 882 as well.

I though the orientation of the cable and hot foot was dependant on the motor manufacture shoice....I could be wrong...

I have a "05" 882. Could you tell me approximatley where to mount it (from the Edge) and the screw size to use. Also how long was the cable you had to by. Its for a 150 hp merc xr6. This will save me alot of worry. Thanks

I think the cable was 14'. I dont know how far is it was, i never measured it but maybe this pic will help. This is my 882 with the hot foot installed( and a really dirty floor). My boat had a board that covered the wires and stuff and it was almost against that.
