Connect Pro Amp/wiring rating

I pulled out the connect pro trolling motor plug/socket that Sue D sent us awhile ago to use on my new trolling motor. I am curious has anyone bought the 6ga adapter for the socket. I am probably going to rewire with 6ga vs the factory 8ga for my Maxxum 55 and was curious if others have done this using the adapter or not. also does anyone know what the plug/socket is rated for amps. With the Maxxum 55 I expect to up from a 40 to 50 amp breaker.

I have the 6 ga adapter on my wiring and also use the 50 amp c/b that came with the boat for the trolling motor. No issues with it and it was quite simple to install.
