Picked up a barely used Z9 and I'm cleaning it over the Winter. Can I just spray degreaser into the 4 bank battery compartment and power spray it at a car wash as long as the boat plug's out and it's cranked up in front? thanks

I always used Simple Green (biodegradable)and although there is noting in the bilge/battery area that shouldn't be water proof, I used the hose and not high pressure. You also want to be careful about spraying any battery acid around.

I used a hot water and Simple Green solution. Put the plug in, mix hot water from the tap, mix in some Simple Green, add a little bit of dish soap, poor in compartment, drive to car wash, pull plug, and hose out. Looked really good afterwards. The hot water and sloshing around during the drive made it easy.
