Tournament tomorrow- if the start battery fails after the nine hours of livewell use -which terminals on the 24volt system of the live weels batteries do you use ti get the strongest 12 volt boost??

Thanks Dave

I'd skip fishing if I wasn't 100% sure my starting battery (that also runs my livewells and electronics) wasn't up to the task.

However, if you really have to use it in an emergency, I'd simply disconnect my trolling motor cables and hook up to one 12 volt battery. Carrying around extra cables in order to place two or more batteries in parallel (positives to positives, negatives to negatives) is a lot of work in a tight spot DURING tournament hours, but would give you the "strongest 12 volt boost".

All the best,

Glenn

Amen -- to that first sentence by Triton Glenn!!!Have you ever tried to hook up jumper cables standing on the back of a boat in a 30 mph wind?
