Bait bar installation question

I recently recieve two 24" bait bars as a gift. Everywhere I search for installation instructions it says to attach to lid support. Well i have a 2008 nitro 750 and i believe there is no lid supports. So do I just attach the bait bar with the screws they provide right into the lid? How thick are the lids usually? I dont want to poke through the top. Should i predrill a hole first? Thanks for the help.

Have you been to the "Bait Bar" website? You should have supports on the inside of your lids to attach too..
