I did search, but i am new to this forum so forgive me if this has already been covered. I am sure this is a popular topic that gets asked about a lot, but i didnt find anything for my situation.

I have a 640lx with the 4 stroke EFI 60hp engine. Looking for a new prop, i am topping out at 32/33 mph with myself, small passenger and light gear. Can't go full throttle currently without the RPM alarm going off so im assuming with a different prop i will be able to use all of my power band?

I am new to boats, this is my first boat so go easy on me.

Thanks everyone.

If the rpm limiter is kicking/screaming what is the RPM's at WOT??? I put a MercMonitor on my boat so it tells me how much fuel per hour it burns so I can cruise for both speed and fuel efficiency. I think the max rpm's for that motor is 5750, I'll have to check my motor manual to be sure. Usually there's a tag on the motor that tells you, but mine didn't say.
