I almost bought a DLV from Grass Shack, but about passed out when they told me what the payments would be after I had is rigged with the equipment I want. I am 90% towards the DLV, but some of the bay boats are nice.

I am down, we need to venture out more and target different fish. We also need to make an ocean run.

I would say 19-21 ft range. I have been in bay and skiffs, but I have never been in a skiff on the ocean. I would like to know about some options that different brands have that are cool and useful.

I had a 75 Force on my Astro, I never had any issues. It always fired up on the first bump or two in the summer, then a little longer in the winter months. But it all depends on how well the engine was taken care of in the past.

I would assume the live bait you could net would be either shad or herring. One of the most important things about striper fishing is great looking bait. Everything above your sinker really dose not matter, what matters most is what the fish see. The fish could careless what rods you use or...

If the engine didn't cut off on it's own, I would guess you picked up some trash causing the prop to cavitate. A small twig will make you loose propulsion.
