    Good batteries but nothing works

My battery off switch was on; I tried 1, 2, and 1+2 with no power to anything. So my local shop showed me how to release the Merc 250 ProXS engine from the motorized lifter. I attached the diagram with the arrow pointing to the white plastic screw, Trouble is the engine was so heavy I had to rig...

    Good batteries but nothing works

My 2016 Z21 has been on my 4 bank charger and is charged up, but nothing works. Motor is down so I can't return it to a shop who last replaced the connection to the batteries with an in-line fuse (I think that's how to describe it). I took it in because my son got the wires mixed up when my...

    Retractable Safety Cables---won't Retract

Fishing Guntersville and my boat buddy didn't put the trailer completely on the ball...so the trailer come off first thing. Didn't actuate the brake, but the retractable cables are still out about 20". Anyone help? It's a 2010 Nitro Z9 trailer.

    Northern Florida

OK.....I looked at Seminole and was impressed.....nice fishery, but I'm worried about this Artic blast and it's effect on fishing...thinking the further south the better for my trip the week after Thanksgiving. The average temps are about 4-5 degrees higher around Jacksonville than Seminole...

    Northern Florida

Thanks, but are you referring to Siminole or St John's? Lately, with the Artic air so south and the possible barometric influence slowing fishing (?), seems safer to go more south than less, don't you think? Thanks for any help you can give since I've never been so far south.

    Northern Florida

I was looking at Seminole, buzzbuster, and thank you for the comment. Fished Guntersville for years, but guys I go with resist checking other lakes in AL, GA etc even though I (personally) don't think Guntersville is what it was 15 years ago when we initially started going down there. I figured...

    Long Year!

Sorry for all your troubles, Dan. Seems like there are "Bad Years". Life's all about getting to tomorrow, as we all know. That especially goes for boat troubles. BTW, I'm running a thread called Northern Florida because I'm headed there after Thanksgiving for a week. Toxic suggested I ask Big...

    Northern Florida

Thanks again Toxic...guess I'm heading for the St John's river...lots of fishable water from what the maps look like. I'll check Big Dan and ask one mre question....should I carry a handgun...snake loads?

    Northern Florida

Thanks Toxic....coming from Cincinnati with a guy in my boat already, so I'm trying to just find good water for Bass, fire up the GPS/structure scan, and enjoy) assuming it's late in the year (after Thanksgiving) for Southern AL, GA, or MS, etc. JAX's only about 13 hrs, not bad at all. Looked...

    Northern Florida

I live around Cincinnati and heading South for a week of freshwater fishing after Thanksgiving. Like to go all the way to S. Florida, but 20+hrs on the road is a bit much...especially trailering my Z-9...so I thought Northern Florida???? Air and water temps seem fine. Appreciate the...

BPS does trade ins, but the $ is a lot less than you can get by selling it on your own. You'll even do better at an independent Tracker dealer...they'll even tell you that since they're not allowed to deal at BPS...by the book only. Just remember, however, boat buyers at BPS get gift cards for 2...

    winterization

Sorry to ask an age old question, but I found an inexpensive and heated, dry, indoor storage place and have treated my gas, should I still pay someone to Winterize my Z9 with only 100 hrs for a 4 month stay??

Thanks for digressing. I judge Ranger's outlook is service the ole fashion way...here today...here tomorrow. I get it. Fits my style since, like you, I take care of a boat like my first car in 1966....clean and wax and put away. Originally, I shopped for a used Ranger, got sticker shock, then...

    HDS7 and Sonic Hub

When I got my Z9 and needed access to satellite radio (financial news for work) on trips, I decided to buy the sonic hub and weather antenna rather than a separate satellite radio. But my HDS7 was the older version (2010 Z9) without soft keys so I had to control AM/FM/Satellite through HDS7...

Well you got me on two points. First, Ranger service beats Nitro for sure. I had gelcoat imperfections (whitish through black gelcoat) and used 200 0 sandpaper to see it was oxidation. Not. So sent pictures to Nitro. They refused the claim because it was a demo boat before I bought it from BPS...
