Get a screen protector. There are protectors out there made specifically for that make and model. I have one for my 798 model, I've had it for two years and haven't had to change it yet. I just use a homemade vinegar/water solution to clean it. NJD

Do not use oil or grease in the mount hole. oil and grease will get below/on the carpet and mess up the adhesive. The Dremel to the mount hole trick is the ticket. NJD

Were the seat poles Snap Lock? NJD

I assume you mean a slight bank left and right when trailering? To see if it's suppose to turn that easy, call Teleflex--they may have pointers. NJD

Use a Transom Saver to hold the motor in-place. I saw a guy last week without one and his motor was swaying back and forth. NJD

You can try and lube it, but you'll be back next year. You may want to go with hydraulic steering. NJD

I have a 2004 898DC and don't have any problems with planing. I have a Mercury 200HP as well. What I've learned is to have my motor trimmed all the way down on take-off and it gets up quick--even when I'm by myself and with my fishing buddy who weighs ~220 lbs. You git a jack plate? NJD

Wash boat and use some Lucas Oil Speed Wax. Stuff cleans boat as well and leaves a hellava smooth coating--like butter... NJD

Wow, you broke some braided line? I use braid for tugging in large Red Fish and Stripers and have never broken any braided line. I have snapped Fluro on everything. I do use Power Pro 40 lb braid... NJD

2X what Doug1003 said. We fish the same water, and I use the WD-40 as well. My trailer is Galvashield, but the rust is coming. I fish weekly, and rinse everything when I get off the water. NJD

Frequency of the fluid changes an lubes aren't comparable for motor vehicles. Therefore, the project may not be as profitable for the long haul. However, great idea, just may not be very profitable. I would love a quick oil and lube, but just don't see the profit in it. NJD
