Loosen the screw or screws that hold the rubber in place over it. Just enough to still keep it in place but with a little force you can get it released! Then check now and then to make sure they stay set, so youdon'tlose them. Mine seem to stay put.

Wow!I don't envy the clean up job. When I left my boat in it was an aluminum Tracker with only a 40 horse motor after a month or so, what I found was I could barely get it up on plane. All the crud really effects performance. Good luck with your clean up job!

Guess I didn't make myself clear. I wasn't referring to the motor problems. I read on here about Boats taking on water a lot, and about people having to reseal the rub rail two or three times a year, and now I have a leak. My boat don't even have 20hrs on it yet! I have owned quite a few boats...

So I guess I am the only one who is disappointed with Nitro, lack of quality?? It just doesn't seem like leaks should be a problem in the first five years of ownership, let alone the first year!
