Troubleshooting 12V 43 lb Motorguide trolling motor

Well I finally got it figured out. There was a bad place in the wiring between the plug to the pedal. It was burned just enough to allow current to pass, but not function under a load. I about gave up on this, I just could not understand why I was seeing current but no motor movement.... I now...

Thanks, I think I can get parts locally, I really could use some help identifying which switch is not functioning properly.

Troubleshooting 12V 43 lb Motorguide trolling motor

I could use some help. I have the original TM that came on my boat, and today it quit working. I have adequate power/voltage to the front plug, and on to the pedal. I jumped 12 volts of power to the motor itself, and it seems to run just fine so I am pretty sure a switch in the pedal is bad. I...

2006 Nitro 750 bilge pump problem

Are you sure that there is enough water in the bilge area to pump out? If there is not enough water there it won't pump, like enough water to cover the pump. If there is, I'd look at the line next to make sure it is not clogged with something. After that, then look at the pump to make sure that...

08 Nitro 750 SS prop high rpms

I think your best bet is to get with a shop that will let you test the props before you buy one, that can get expensive in a hurry. I went by the Bass Pro service center in Hendersonville TN and got them to look up the prop numbers that my rig called for, that got me around having to go thru the...

    battery draining

Sounds like something awry in the charging system, I'm guessing stator....When you get your RPM's up it should be charging the battery. Good luck.

    battery draining

So, is your starting battery the one going dead on you? I could not tell for sure from the description of the problem which one was dying. I am assuming so. If this is so, and the connections are good, then my first step would be to confirm that your charging system on your engine is working...

    170 TF 90HP- What's the best set-up?

The only thing I might add is on the hole shot you may want to look at the plugs on the Laser II. I had to add a couple to mine and it helped my hole shot a little on my 750DC.

    Reverse gear...shot!

It could be the reverse dog. I had a 1993 90HP with this issue, that era had a few issues with this I was advised. Ended up just not repairing it.

Startron treats the fuel to keep it fresh, the Quickcleen or Sea Foam is to minimize carbon buildup.

    Electrical Problem - Possibly Ignition

On number one, it sounds like a bad ignition switch to me, your gauges should definitely not quit working when it is started. It looks like you are resolving these one at a time. If your pressure is around 15, it sounds good. If you do not know when the impeller has been changed last, it won't...
