I've had both and prefer the dual console. As does my wife and daughter. Never had problem with the second console being in the way. The single console I did have was a good deal and I would probably jump at a good price again on a single console if I were in the market. Several manufactures...
I've never had black, but I've had white and unless the price is right I won't do that again. The hull wasn't bad the inside showed every black mark from rod and reel handles and anything else that touched the fiberglass.

First bass my daughter ever caught was a three pounder on a pink stick worm. She was only four and couldn't cast a longer rod. I threw it out and was rigging a rod for myself, she was standing on the front deck and calmly says "Dad my rod is bending." After fighting through the grass and...
A good all around lb test would be 14 or 15, but as said it all depends on how and what you are fishing for. My bait casters have everything from 10 lb fluorocardon to 65 lb braid.
I've had the same Optima's in boat for four seasons with no issues. I fish 1 to 2 days a weeks in alot of wind and current. I would buy another set if I had to, but as of now I don't see why these won't last another season.
I fish the Potomac River 90% of the time and always launch at the same place since I have a launch pass for that site. It is a big body of water so I always start close and let the fish tell me what to do. If they are cooperating I don't waste gas. If they don't cooperate I start moving...
Right now Accuweather is calling for a high of 50 with ice in the morning. Take away the ice and it should be a fine day. Let me know what you need us to bring.

Usually on larger boats the more power the better, especially in wind and current. It depends some on the waters you fish and if you want to spend the extra $$$. I had an 82 lb thrust on the 929 I had and it moved it along well.

I don't know if the touch pad is compatitable, but I would check some other places on the igntion switch. You can probably find it cheaper online as well. It is not specifically a Tracker product.

I'm going to try to make a couple trips down between now and then. I've spent less time on the water this year than any other since I've owned a boat, so I have my fingers crossed for a mild winter.

With my Merc (2006, 225 Opti) I had two warranty claims, both covered with no issues. The first happen 6 month after I bought it, blown powerhead. That scared me into buying the extended warranty after that happened. At least then you didn't have to buy the extended warranty at the time of...
