Oil Alarm And 1/2 Full Oil Resevoir

Tox, you have it right. All of the big v6 motors need the external tank, the saddle tank would not provide enough oil to run for very long. I would check the cap for cracks and also the cap on the remote tank and the lines for leaks as well. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    New truck :)

Tox, are you sure about that? A good buddy of mine has the same truck as you his manual says regular. We checked his after i filled mine up with him in the truck and he asked why i was putting premium in it. Something sounds fishy with your buddies, did he put as tune in it or something like...

    New truck :)

I thought it was going to be worse than it is so i'm very happy with that. I do tend to drive conservatively and i think that helps, if i stop on it hard it can be quite thirsty. Like i mentioned before it gets around the same as my old one got which was better than anything i had owned before...

    New truck :)

Actually i have had it for over 3 months..... The verdict, its awesome. I have 5500 miles on it so far and i have towed my boat and my enclosed dirt bike/motorcycle trailer with it a good bit. The 6.2 is simply a beast with the boat in tow. I have the max tow package with 3.73 gears and its a...

    New truck :)

They sure are bringing back the Colorado and in 2016 a diesel may be an option as well. I'm sure ford will follow suit soon as well as there is a market. That being said I don't think I will ever go back into a small truck. Gas mileage wise they are no different that a half ton full size and...

    New truck :)

My 2006 is still going strong with 175k on the clock. I was ready for a new one and I made a deal with my nephew when he was 8 that if he stayed out of trouble and kept his grades up where my sister wants that it would be his when he got his license. It's coming time to pay up on that...

    New truck :)

I ordered this back in April and i picked it up on sat. It's an LTZ with the 6.2l and max two package. I'm still breaking it in so I have not got on it at all but in general driving it feels really strong. Can't wait to see how it tows. I'm pretty sure w 420hp/460 ft/lbs it's going to do just...

    New Z7 w/ 175 pro-xs best initial setup?

I can run it right at 6k all the time, loaded or not, passenger or not. speed depends on the load. Alone i can run 67 on the gps will full gear a passenger drops that to 64-65 depending on the person and gear. Unloaded i can hit the hard limiter at 6400 no problem but i try not to do that. I...

    New Z7 w/ 175 pro-xs best initial setup?

Brian, That's the exact combo that i own and i love it. It should come with a 24" tempest plus on it and with all the fooling around i have done with props(Fury,Trophy etc) i keep going back to the tempest. I found the best motor height with the 6" plate to be the shaft 2 3/4" below the pad...

Im set to have one on the 20th of the month for a massivly herniated disc at l5-s1 which is causing me a huge amount of nerve pain 24-7 in my left leg. Just wondering if anyone has had one what the experience was like and how the recovery went.

Ryobi ONE+ tools ... go lithium or ditch 'em?

I personally am a big fan of Dewalt cordless tools. I have an assortment of the 18v volt and i still use the old XRP nicad batteries. All of my professional contractor friends use them almost exclusively with one exception and he wont use anything but makita.

    boat cleaner?

Star brite hull cleaner is great stuff to remove the scum line from any boat that sits in the water. You can try it and see what it gets you. Personally on my boat i do something different. My boat sits onthe trailer and occasionally i do get a water line that wont just rub off when a...

    Rough Water Driving

Conditions like that are where a hot foot and wheel trim will really shine. Being able to make very quick throttle adjustments will allow you to accelerate down from the crest of a wave then you can let off the throttle and have it kind of float over the next crest, back on the throttle, off...

    cleaning HB sonar screen

I use the same stuff as Glenn with a microfiber cloth. I also have a Zaag screen protector for both of mine. They have a really tough protector that will prevent it from ever getting scratched.

    humminbird depth finder

I would do two things. One is make sure the pad area of your hull is intact and in good shape. If you have any nicks big nicks in it you could be making air bubbles under the pad which will cause problems. The other is just replace the transducer, I have more then once had similar symptoms to...

How to remove lock and snap pedestals on NX882

One other thing to lok at is the carpet itself. On mine when i put the posts in i had to make sure there were no carpet fibers going between the hole and the post, if there were any they were an instant bear to get out. I also used to lube mine with reel magic before i put them in, made them...

    boat cover

Both of mine have the built in motor hood. My 882 i had the webbing ratchet on my z7 it has the rope with ratchets on it. Both work equally well. I dont have any pictures of either, i can take some of my current one. The only thing i would note of the fit is a little different. My 882 was a...

    CT River

I think that depends on where you are on the river. I have heard up north it gets clearer but south of hartford where i have been was very dark stained.

    CT River

Im going to assume that you are launching at Riverside Park? If so i would head as far north of there is a could without wrecking my boat. I have only fished a couple of tournaments there but both of them were won up north. I was a non boater both the times i fished there and my boaters ran...
